Among the best presentation, caught the eyes of us and discussion been made about how high to toss the ball during the serve. We have been looking at various of serve height toss in the career of tennis coaching.
Some of players may toss very low and some may toss very high. What is the optimal. How high should it be.
Heres the catch. It can be said that the womens side toss higher than the mens side. And yet, the womens side have the weaker point in the serve compared to the men. I can say that the height at contact of mens side is higher than womens making them having more angles to clear the net.
We gain the insight of pro players toss height and it can be used in the daily tennis practice. The common height of contact is almost one metre above the head of the server. We leave the equation of the maximun height of the toss aside. But the contact points are almost the same height of plus and minus few centimetres from 1 metres.
Knowing this, the development of service toss can be adjusted with players we coached and it will benefit them to get the maximum potential in starting the point through serve.
